Not bad at all. Was thinking of something similar but with a piece of plate in the corner for a mirror mount. Possibly using 80's chevy style mirrors that fold in.

I've looked into that, but you still need the door module (thing with the switches on it) because it talks to the BCM and everything else through the PCI BUS.

At least you can turn the interior lights off with the steering column switch.

I'll have mirrors available. 1 good option and one cheaper option. Both will be detachable.

Also a cup holder, choice to be painted, and whatever else you guys want!

I'll be making rear doors as well.

I like the "S" shape on mine better. And the 2 angled tubes kinda keep your legs in, and they will match the rear doors as well.

I can sell the front door prototypes tomorrow, and more will be available in a couple weeks. I need to order some more hinges, but other than that I'm ready to start cranking these out.

I am aware that I need a vendor account to sell something like this but I am waiting on a reply from the admin.

How thick is the tube your using? I'm thinking on a safety factory how much stronger/weaker it will be compared to an actual door in case of side impact. I understand it's a 100x's stronger then nothing at all but still would like to no for peace of mind

1.5"x1/8"

They're much safer than going doorless, but I can't comment on their strength compared to factory doors.

Yep, they bolt right to the factory hinges and use the factory striker. Should be an easy 10-15 minute swap.

@99WJdan, we've discussed having mesh netting as an option, but it will be pretty expensive being a custom order item. If the demand is there in the future, we would definitely look into it.

The release date is a week or two out, we're starting production on them this week.

Here's the rear design for anyone curious. It might get tweaked for fitment, but this is the plan.
