No it is a perfect truss for longarms you can bolt on the upper link mount just like you would if it was a stock axle. Clayton has 2 different options for lift kit stock axle or other. Other comes with a truss, stock comes with a bolt on bracket. You get the bolt on bracket and then you can bolt it on or weld it on or both. We did both, The clayton kit is almost complete on our WJ.

1 ton wj's

SHOP WJ IS TOOLING AROUND TOWN ON 37'S.
ABS is good to go for both front and rear. This has been a question. What we did... Rear Dana 60 is fully ABS compatible using Set 20 Axle bearings (same as D60 1 ton semi float applications and many 9 inches) and the factory tone rings and brake package. The front has no ABS provision however we took the rear output and solder'd to front output. This effectively keeps the light out, gives you your speed signal for Speedometer. The downside to this is that your ABS will not actually work. The system will always think that the front is spinning at the same rate as the back. I personally think this is the best of both worlds. No lights, speed signal, and you get to control how you apply brakes not some computer system.

With the 37's we have enough clearance for driving but not for full flex. We need to do something with the fuel tank and we are working on a custom fuel cell for the spare tire compartment, Instead of Doing all that cutting and welding near the fuel tank. Hopefully we will release a tank soon.

Other Notes: The rear Dana 60 is fully bolt in ABS compatible, can be installed in a completely stock Grand cherokee with a driveshaft modification only. The truss on the rear 60 will accept the clayton longarm system with no modification. So you can install Dana 60 in stock jeep and upgrade later with no downside.

The front 60 requires a 6 inch Clayton Lift. The Driver side Upper link needs to be moved a 1/2 inch on the lower control arm to allow for Clearance at full flex, otherwise upper arm will interfere with the larger D60 housing.

We are currently working on another WJ. This one is also going to be running 37's and we have opted to install 2 inch spacer in addition to the Clayton 6 LA it already had to clear the 37's. Once we move the fuel tank on the shop WJ we are going to attempt 37's full flex with 6 inches only. In the meantime this one will run spacers and will save more of the body as this jeep has some Iceland offroad fender flares and bumpers that are pretty sharp. It will also have some very sharp 17x9 Creeper locks powdercoated black and red and ARB's front and rear. More to come on this jeep as it gets finished.

Beautiful!

Is it possible to visit the shop or are you closed to walk in traffic? I will be in Raleigh on business March 19 and 20 in 2012 and would love to swing buy and spec out an order that would be shipped to California (San Diego).

Yes you are more than welcome to come buy we will have the Shop WJ here so you can see the final product. We are only a few miles from the RDU airport so it should be convenient for you.

Already started a build before I saw this, but would be interested in staying 5 lug if you had any plans to offer build parts for these.

Specificly, I would be interested in possibly ordering 35 spl shafts in 5x5, full width if I could go to the set 20 bearings. Did the WJ ends require machining to accept those and if so would you offer the machine service or part? I figure skipping the 3/4 ton disc conversion and keeping my WJ brakes would take a severe bite out of the cost of custom shafts on the 60 I already started on.
