Hey RX4ROCS,

Thanks! I got a kick out of the Tron Speedsuit comment and you may have just named this model of seat covers!!!

One of the motivations behind DryForceTM was that we were tired of seeing the same old seat covers with the color insert surrounded by black. It must be a popular style but we wanted to introduce something new & (hopefully) innovative.

It isn't easy reinventing the wheel and we don't know how it will be received but we feel pretty good about this design. It's a really sharp/clean look!

As for the solid black, once again, we had limited funds to get started and we bet it all on the newly named, "Tron Speedsuit 3000". That being said, the black with grey model is actually a very subtle look. You may be surprised how "non-tron-like" it is.

Let's check back again after the photos are posted to get a better idea and let me know if you are interested or if any questions.

By the way, I shipped everyone's orders today and you should all be receiving tracking info shortly. I REALLY appreciate your business and look forward to hearing the feedback. (for better or worse)

Please note: we have sold out of the NEXT5 offer but still honoring 20% off for the next 10 orders with promo code VIPOFF20
+++++ giving away TEN FREE PAIRS of neoprene grab handles for the roll bars (aka Oh Holy Sh@t Bars) to new customers who connect/friend us on Facebook following their paid order.

Thanks for the Facebook post and for your referals. Your free pair of neoprene grab handles are on their way!

By the way, I'm from your neck of the woods in Orlando and went to
Lake Howell H.S. We used to cut class and go offroad in Oviedo. Of course, this was a "few" years back when there was only one traffic light in the town.

My folks are still in the same house in Maitland and I may be jumping on a plane back this weekend to help out with my sister's family. She beat CF with a double lung transplant in 1997 and survived/thrived only to get cancer. She started chemo treatments at WinterPark Memorial today. She's a fighter so I know she will get through this but it just doesn't make sense how the nicest people seem to get dealt the worst hands.

Any way, sorry to post this stuff here. It's just on mind and really just wanted to let you know that I might be in town for your club meet next week. Is it a show & shine or general meet? Please pm the details if appropriate.

Thanks!

Thanks bro!

I will keep you ALL posted as we get closer to running the YJ production.

We can make the neoprene any color. But 1st, there has to be enough demand to make the quantity. 2nd, there is an issue of whether or not it will match your exact jeep. With so many shades of Jeep reds over the years there's a good chance the red neoprene won't match your Jeep. The advantages of having the color in the thread is that it won't be as apparent in case there is a slight difference.

For the next run, we may go with a spice neoprene together with a choice of thread colors. It would look like the background colors on this forum and a great look for the Sahara models in particular. If anyone has anyother suggestions for color schemes, we always welcome the input.

I know how it is launching a bootstrap startup...I'm involved in two right now. It can be tough but you guys have a quality product and once the ball gets rolling and the word gets out it will pick up...just hang on for dear life until it does.

As for your product...I too was hoping for some YJ covers. I mean I am sure JK seat covers are a product that people need...but I bet their seats aren't as worn out as ours!

I do like the piping, but understand its a taste thing. I would _really_ like to see some fabric overlays for the middle of the buckets (know what I mean?) particularly in spice. I wish they made neoprene in colors other than black, cause I would love to order a YJ set in spice with black piping...that would look sick in my rig.

Thanks

*edit* oops just saw your last post. I'll hold off on looking for new seats or covers for now since I like the product. If you guys come out with Spice covers with black piping for CJ7 highback or YJ (I think they are identical?) seats PM me. =) Thanks!

Hey Kastraelie...

Thumbs up for the encouraging words!

I am becoming more and more aware of the fact that Jeepers, as a group, are very much entrepreneurs in every sense of the word. Check out the definition below...

Enterprising individuals who...
  • builds through risk and/or innovation.
  • recognizes and pursues opportunities.
  • posses a high tolerance for risk.
  • participates in a group but are not defined by them.

It goes by using words such as serial and nomadic, but in short, I have never met a Jeeper who didn't have a passion for how to build a better mouse trap in one sense or another.

I am definitely hanging in there with DryForce and wish you all the best with your ventures, as well! As you know, it becomes like family and, as such, can be very demanding (and rewarding).

Feel free to PM me if you ever need anything or want to "bounce ideas" regarding your biz's.

1) Spice neoprene & 2) YJ seat covers (& CJ7 highback)
are two of the products on the short list for development. I will contact you regarding availability of product samples as we move forward.
(Imagine our seat cover below with solid spice and black piping style seams)

We also have a totally new product line which offers removable/exchangeable design panels ( DePansTM) that attaches to your seat and eliminates "the limited colors & patterns of neoprene" factor.

We have it scheduled to roll out for the JK's in August. Before you all beat me up, I should let you know that the JK seats were developed first because the adjustable headrest lends itself to this product very well and we are coming out with the TJ & YJ versions, as well!

Just like anything & everything, this product is a matter of taste and not for everyone. However, it will have a high quality construction and tastefully designed. (I don't like cheaply made or tacky stuff)

Here's a sneak peak of a few patterns below...

More to come (including YJ & TJ models) in the near future!

I have never had neoprene seat covers or sat on one.

Doesn't the black material get really hot in the sun?

Will it keep you from having a sweaty back and butt in the summer?

Are you going to make back seat covers?
