UCF YJ Transfer Case Skid Plate

I have made some progress on a new product for the YJ crowd.

The new UCF YJ Transfer Case Skid Plate is in the final stages of development. The prototype has been manufactured and will be installed later this week. Installed photos will be taken and the product listing will go up on the site this weekend.

The skid pictured below is 3" deep will gain 1/2" of belly clearance over stock. It will lift the drivetrain on a 6 cylinder YJ by 1/2". It lifts the drivetrain of a 4 cylinder by almost 1" (we did this to get the tranny mount studs tucked up into the skid on the 4 cylinder). This is the most we felt comfortable with before a body lift is installed.

Higher clearance versions of the skid will be offered for people with body lifts, SYE and CV shafts. It will be offered in 6061-T6 aluminum (as pictured), 3/16" steel plate and 1/4" steel plate. The price for all 3 versions will be $20 more than the TJ skids because of the additional bracket, hardware and countersinking.

So I have been planning on doing a flat skid and am in the process of lifting the body 2 inches and doing a mml if I used your guys high clearance skid how far below the frame would the bottom of the skid be.... like an inch or less?? If I do a flat skid I will be less than a half an inch below the frame....Now obviously I understand that a flat skid will gain more clearnace than a tummy tuck. But the aluminum for me to buy is soo dang expensive I havn't figured out how you guys sell aluminum for cheaper than I can buy I guess yall are buying in bulk.....Anywho I am curious as to how far below the frame this skid would hang if I had it tucked all the way up with a 2"body lift

I will be offering a 1" deep Ultra High Clearance skid for people like you with a 2" body lift. My 1" deep skid is 1" from the frame/top of the skid to the inside top surface of the skid. You would have to add the thickness of the skid material to get the total depth.

My laser shop buys all their steel and aluminum sheet from a very large mill. Buying direct from a very large supplier makes the cost much lower.

I designed an engine skid for the 4-cylinder YJ. Here is a rendering of the complete package. I sent the parts to the laser shop earlier and will be installing them later this week, probably Saturday.
