Where does the 3rd brake light go? Do you have any rigs that have used available products to relocate the brake light with this kit?

Looks like a great tire carrier, I didn't see the pricing on your website?

Would you recommend having corner guards on it for added strength and stability or would it be fine without them?

x2^ And I highly doubt this would be possible but do you think your tire carrier would be compatible with this drop down tailgate kit from swag offroad?

I've been wondering the same thing in debating this set up and Or-Fab's. The price, quality, and reputation of TnT have me leaning towards them. From the looks of Swag Offroad's set up, these mounting plates should be able to mount on top of each other without too much issue. I honestly would shoot Swag an email (which I'm going to do anyway) and see what he thinks...he is after all the engineer.

We provide inner braces so with a 35" or lighter 37" you'll be fine. Anything heavier and I would recommend corners as well.

So...I emailed the expert at SwagOffroad and Troy was very fast in getting back to me. Here is what he said in regards to the two tub-mounted Tire Carriers (Treks, OR-Fab) and his TJ Tailgate kit.

"Tiny,

The tailgate kit is compatable with the two tub mounted tire carriers you mentioned.

The only area that gets tight is the passenger side upper toggle latch brkt, this bracket can easily be modifed if there is any inteference.

Let me konw if you have any additional questions.

Thanks Troy Rutherford"

What I'll wind up doing since its all part by part build anyway, is get the tailgate kit, followed by some nice corner armor to strengthen things up before I put a tub mounted carrier on. I'm still sold on Treks carrier for a few reasons. 1. It sits closer to the tub than ORF..by quite a bit. 2. I actually prefer it to come raw steel so I can do the powder coating...I have heard too many off things about ORF and some others whose powdercoats didn't hold up to shipping in a cardboard box Finances pending, I should have this built up by first of January...

If someone on here has the Swag tailgate kit and can do some measuring, I can check my Treks tire carrier to see how much room there is for verification. HTH

Hehe, no doubt!!!! I didn't buy a Jeep so I could stay rich though. I pay my bills, put a tad bit in savings...and throw everything else at the ole TJ!!!!! Good thing I don't get out much, wouldnt have money for anything. Correction on my powder coating comment above. When I line my interior, Im going to coat the tire carrier with that stuff, most likely Monstaliner (or similar). TnT you guys are about fourth down the line in parts I need to buy...but I should get to you before Christmas

That's good!

We're having a rear TC/HD XMBR sale for the Holidays!

$625.95 for the pair! Saves you $60.00.

TnT Customs....

Please stop finding reasons for me to sign my paychecks over to you! Sadly I won't be needing that particular XMBR. I have to tow crap pretty regularly with my TJ (if you thought your MPG was bad before...) and have to leave the tow rated receiver on there. Hence I will have a cheap custom bumper done.

But I could try and weasel $40 bucks out of you guys....I'll give myself 4 $100 gift certificates!
