Travelling with Pets?

Equipping your Jeep to transport pets can be tricky, especially when you consider the risks of travelling with an unsecured animal. Pet owners are responsible for ensuring that their animals are healthy and fit to make a car journey however once they are in the car it is vital that both of you are protected. Jeeps are a great car for pet owners as the ample trunk space can be transformed into a designated area for your pet during a journey. Pets should always be restrained in the back seat or trunk of car, using a pet barrier to separate them from other passengers and cargo.

Before you travel it is important to make sure that your pet has enough room to sit, stand and lie comfortably. Fresh water should be readily available at all times, for those worried about ruining their car interior there are non-spill bowls that sit securely on a trunk mat, avoiding damage to carpets. If it is a hot day, ensure that a window is open nearby to avoid your pet overheating. Jeep accessories are readily available however it is important that the ones you choose are designed specifically to fit your vehicle. The difference between a generic pet barrier and one that is created to perfectly fit the dimensions of your Jeep can be what saves your four legged friend in the event of an accident. Prepare your car and take a look at the Jeep accessories available at Travall.
