i've got some creative friends....haha
but i think that a 400lb limit should be more than enough to not have to be worried about it. if/when i purchase your kit, i will deffinitely attempt the swing out/fold down design and keep you posted if you're interested.

Don't be the only one standing around with your hands in your pockets at your next tailgate party.

Thanks Troy

Got my Jeep all shined up for a show this weekend. I combined the aluminum bottom panel off the "Flat Back" tailgate kit with the standard drop down kit.

Guess who won't be looking for a place to sit while doing some bench racing.

Hi Troy;

Do you have any idea how well your system would mount with one of the Tuffy Security Products Deck Enclosures?

TJ LJ & YJ Security Deck Enclosure Jeep Wrangler

Send me a PM if it's easier for you.

Thanks in advance.

The drop down tailgate kit would fit the Tuffy product listed above with out any issues, You would be attaching the cables to the Tuffy box instead of the Jeep tub.

Let me know if you have any other questions. I have plenty in stock ready to ship.

Thanks Troy

Hi Troy;

Thanks for the response. Just upon reading your answer, it just doesn't seem right. As strong as the Tuffy deck enclosure (or any Tuffy product) is, I don't see how you could attach cables to the Tuffy sidewalls and have the attachment points withstand 400+ lbs.

Do you actually mean that the cables and attachment points would have to be drilled through the Tuffy deck enclosure walls to attach as usual to the tub?

Thanks in advance.

This is what I was trying to say. You would need 8 longer self tapping screws to screw into both the Tuffy box and the Jeep tub. I did something very similar when I had an instant trunk in back of my TJ.

This is exactly what I need. A drop-down type tailgate would allow me more room because at 6'2, lets be honest its not comfortable to sleep in by yourself let alone 2 people. I would love to have my legs stick out to have more room when sleeping. I just dont know if its $200-$285 sleep worthy though. Also is there a way to have no spider web cutouts? Im not spiderman dont need them on there.
