Badass, Chase.

ActionJackson 07-17-2011 05:18 PM

Stock width? Different width options?

cj777 07-17-2011 07:11 PM

Awesome. Hoping for a matching front :cheers2:

ECGS 07-18-2011 02:38 PM

The TJ front is about 90% complete, the bracket kits are done and welded on an axle, the brake bracket has been designed and protyped we need someone who can manufacture them out of 1 inch plate. After the brake bracket is complete all we have left is to test fit.

The Rear 60 can be 61-63 inches. Anything wider will need to be full float. The TJ 60 is going to be 63.5 inches.

wrangler1988 07-19-2011 12:11 AM

what brand axle shafts are you using and what size is the size of the axle tubes?

07wurubi 07-19-2011 01:44 AM

Dam, where was this when I ordered my 8.8? Looking good Chase.

I'll keep an eye out for the front one now.

bigredjeep1 12-23-2011 12:28 PM

Super beefy very nice! :2thumbsup:

freedommachine 12-23-2011 05:32 PM

About how much does the axel weigh?

wrangler97 01-19-2012 10:09 AM

Does ECGS have any intention of making a matching front d60?

RX4ROCS 03-21-2012 03:04 PM

How much for a used FF D60, narrowed to 65" WMS/WMS w/ Detroit, 5'13s, TJ brackets and discs shipped to 95901?

Davetha 03-22-2012 01:12 AM

I would be more interested with a front one to go with it :)

LostJeeper 03-22-2012 01:43 AM

Agreed...but judging from the lack of response either the front D60's are not available or maybe they're out of stock because they're free?...lol

Can anybody explain the justification behind the outrageous prices for aftermarket D60's ($6500-$9500)? A junkyard 60 costs $500 (yes, here on the west coast), shorten the housing and passenger side axle shaft for $200, add an ARB locker $750, set of gears $250, throw some TJ brackets on it for $375, rebuild the kingpins $75, Warn premium hubs $200, rebuild and use the factory 3/4 ton brakes and calipers $150, throw the vendor a $500 bone for labor, and you have a frontend ready to bolt in for $3000.

A junkyard 60 costs $500 (yes, here on the west coast), You cant find these in so cali in "junk yards" so you pay 1100$ typically.

Shorten the housing and passenger side axle shaft for $200, For a true axle shop to cut off a C and short the tube is a lil over 200$. You still need some 35 spline inner shafts about -350$.

Add an ARB locker $750, Last I checked they were about 950-1200 plus tax and or shipping

set of gears $250, about right, plus a master kit at 150$

Throw some TJ brackets on it for $375, for Just the brackets maybe, but a closer true estimate is 600$ for currie to supply and weld on all the brackets needed.

Rebuild the kingpins $75, About right, maybe a bit more.

Warn premium hubs $200, A Waste, run slugs or Yukons new selectable hubs

rebuild and use the factory 3/4 ton brakes and calipers $150, yes

Throw the vendor a $500 bone for labor, You better add at lil to that.

and you have a frontend ready to bolt in for $3000. Not even close

You forgot..
Outer stubs - 200$
hub bearings - 75$
Ujoints - 150$

Its not as cheap as you would think, IF YOU DO IT RIGHT...

Yeah if you just want a 30 spline outer, stock 1040 inner axle frankenstien, that was in Perfect condition when you get it, you can get away for a more resonable price.
