My speakers have a rather large basket. Wondering if you would be able to tell me from these specs if they would fit through the hole as well as bolt up.

Thanks

I can tell you by looking at that, that 5.28" will work with my bolt pattern. I want to say that my basket hole is 4.75", Ill double check when I'm on my computer with CAD tomorrow and let you know 100% for sure.
In my all of my experience, that is the first speaker that needs a hole larger than 4.75"! May take a little longer, but I can throw a custom set in next time I have room for the same price.
I'll get back with you in the morning with the numbers.

Yes, my basket hole is 4.75". Let me know if you'd like me to cut a set with a 4.85"+ hole and I'll get on it.

Thank you for the quick response, sorry I couldn't get back to you today.
I'm going to test fit the speaker in its dash location tomorrow morning to see if everything clears. If it's a go I will let you know tomorrow by lunch. (~11am EST)
Do you think cutting it exact to 4.85 is a good idea?

No, it'll need to be a hair bigger. I always go ~.05" larger for a snug fit, or ~.1" for a drop in.

Will do. If it's too snug for your liking, you can always add a washer between the speaker and the plate. Should fit perfect if those dimesions are correct though.
I'll shoot you a PM when they're done.

This might not be the thread for this, but my only question is, If i want to retain the stock radio, which brand/model of speakers will work best with the stock head unit?? Its a jeep so i see no need to add an aftermarket headunit to entice thieves into my car. I already have an aux port adapter hooked up to it via the CD changer port on the back.. So what do you guys think is the best speaker for stock HU? btw when i do upgrade speakers, ill be buying these..

Great question!
It really depends on your budget. There is no need to buy expensive speakers if you are not upgrading the headunit because it only puts out around 10rms. (almost all aftermarket can handle waaaaaay more than that). Give us a ballpark budget and we can throw out some suggestions.

Well, I'd like the best without going too good. For example I don't wanna spend 100$ on front speakers if they won't even operate at their rating. I guess my real question is how many watt speakers will be best for stock HU without wasting money on wattage that won't be seen. Is the stock HU 10wat rms per speaker?
