Six Cylinder Motor Mounts - Page 2

I know these are for a 6cylinder but I have a question: I have a 4 banger and I broke my mount when flexing the stock supension to hard while wheeling, the motor now slides back and forth on the rubber bushing in the big A shaped mount. Is it necessary to replace both the Engine Bracket and Mount or could I get away with just one?

Also would it be bad to install a 1" lift mount and drive the jeep for a little bit before I install the body lift? Thanks.

As to your first question: Yes you can replace the mounts alone. The problem with doing that is that High Performance mounts are much stronger than the stock mounts, and a lot more stress is put on the brackets. If you have the cast aluminum brackets, as I'm sure you do, they tend to break when off roading.

As to installing a lifted mount without a body lift: If you do this, you creat a host of problems that I doubt you want to deal with. I would advise against it. Your driveshaft angle would change for the worse, and the location of your cooling fan would raise by an inch, but the radiator and fan shroud would stay where they are now...not a real good thing.

I don't know what to tell you. I have looked for them too. We have no plans to make them in the near future.
