Some pictures to explain how the ROCKER PODS are mounted

These pictures show how the ROCKER PODS are attached to the vehicle and the ground clearance on a stock TJ

Do you offer a version for people that actually use their Jeeps to 4 wheel with?

I'm sorry, but I can't see using those on a jeep with less than a 6" lift and then they should be curved and reinforced on the sides and bottom. That's just my 2.5 cnts worth.

ROCKER PODS - keep 'em coming!!

I can appreciate that people use their Jeeps in many environments. The current ROCKER POD is designed for the average trail and for the daily driver, NOT for extreme off roading or rock crawling. We are currently working on a design that would be used on more challenging trails. That product will be available by the end of the year. I do appreciate all inputs and suggestions. Keep them coming.

I think if you had a thick bottom on them and tapered the ends they would fend off other rocks better.

Good suggestion, I know what you mean.

If we had designed the cargo step for rock crawling or extreme off roading, I would certainly agree with you. Our new off road product will incorporate exactly what you suggested.

This Rocker Pod cargo step design is not meant for extreme trails. That said it is significantly stronger than tube steps that are typically made from less than 1/16 thick steel tube. As I have stated Rocker Pod cargo steps are not intended for rock crawling. The reason being they take away approximately 5 ½”-6 ½” of clearance between the wheels. That may sound like a lot, but compared to standard 3” tube steps that take away about 4”-5” and offer NO storage, we feel the trade off in clearance is more than worth it for the majority of Jeep and truck owners that do not use their vehicles for rock crawling or off roading. For those that enjoy hunting, fishing or camping, you will be able to carry your gear safely and securely. The Rocker Pod cargo step can be configured with a single long door that can accommodate a shotgun or rifle as well as a number of fishing rods. A small compressor or power inverter can be packed as well as supplies for camping and towing, the list is endless

For those that ride on extreme trails and need every inch of trail clearance, we will have a product similar to the current Rocker Pod that will be specifically designed to take trail abuse. As mentioned it will be available at the end of the year. I am mostly a pavement and dirt runner and I don’t want to pretend to know everything about crawling or mudding fortunately our team has members that don’t believe in roads and have the attitude that the more extreme the trail, the more extreme the fun. I appreciate your comments and hope to here more.
