I waiting for a killer deal for a kit for my 01,
Its a combination of things, the earlier engines had different accessory brackets and placement for AC/alternator ect... so our bracket will not mount. Secondly, there is a large variety of ECM/ECU'sused it is just difficult to crack every ecu (and the combo of parts you may have installed over the years). The 2005-06 TJ uses the same ECU logic as the JK, and therefore is smarter.. its easier to write a tune for the variables you may have installed (larger tires, gears, exhaust,....ect)... The older ECU's realy should be tuned locally so you can really dial in the safety.
We do offer tuner packages for 2001.5-2004 TJ/LJ but would require the use of Unichip and custom tuning... call for pricing/info
Nice kit. Question for the Ripp guys: Does the fact that you're blowing these out indicate that they will no longer be available once gone?
No way!- the TJ kit is still a go for us - we love it
- call it a little spring cleaning. Our Dodge RAM kits about to hit the market and we've been busy with the 2012 3.6 JK - The TJ kit is an awesome kit, its been on the market for a few years and got a great GEN2 upgrade late last year.
We just want to make it clear we have a lot of love for the TJ so we pumped up the sale. Our dealer network is so busy selling JK kits, they do not move the TJ kits at all... So instead of pumping it through them, this product is going direct to the end user (their loss your gain)...
