Poison Spyder JK LED Taillight Wiring Harness

Poison Spyder is proud to introduce our new line of JK LED Taillight Wiring Harnesses and related components. These are a complete plug-and-play taillight and backup light wiring system that plugs into the JK's stock wiring harness without any cutting or splicing. They are a natural addition for anyone purchasing Poison Spyder JK Crusher Corners and LED taillights and backup lights.

At the heart of these components are the Passenger and Driver side LED Taillight Harnesses. Each of these plug directly into the Jeep JK's stock taillight connector with no cutting or splicing. Each includes a lead to plug directly into the 4" round LED taillights sold by Poison Spyder. They also include the load resistors required to make the turn signals flash at the correct rate, built right into the harness with no additional splicing. Each harness also includes TWO connectors which accept the extension harnesses for our 2-1/2" LED Backup Lights, so you can run two backup lights per side (typically one in the Crusher Corner, and one in the bumper, per side). Here's a closer look at each of the components:

JK LED Taillight Harness - Passenger Side - $79.00
The passenger side harness comes with the 6' lead for the LED License Plate & Third Brake Light, which requires a jumper wire (provided in the kit) to be ran from the OE third brake light connector, back through the tailgate to the taillight area. This is for those are relocating the license plate to either the tire carrier or the tailgate (Tramp Stamp), and are using our LED License Plate & 3rd Brake Light. If you do not need the extension for the license plate light, you can run the Driver Side harness on the passenger side and save a couple bucks.

JK LED Taillight Harness - Driver Side - $56.00
Identical to the passenger side harness, with the exception of the wiring for the License Plate & 3rd Brake Light. As said above, it can be run on the passenger side as well, if the extra wiring for the license plate light is not needed on that side.

24in LED Back-Up Light Extension Harness (Pair) - $39.00
This longer extension harness is to reach bumper-mounted backup lights, such as those mounted in our RockBrawler rear bumpers. Sold as a pair, one for each side.

4in LED Back-Up Light Extension Harness (Pair) - $29.00
The short extension harness is for backup lights mounted just below or near the LED taillight, as with our Crusher Corners that come with the backup light holes already cut. Sold as a pair, one for each side.

LED License Plate & 3rd Brake Light - PSC Connectors - $44.00
This is the same as the license plate light we've always sold, except that it has been fitted with the same weatherproof connectors the rest of our taillight harness products use, so that it plugs right in to the extension wire on the passenger side harness.

Installation Video

This installation video is also embedded on the product pages on our website. If you are at all interested in this product, we encourage you to watch it to familiarize yourself with the product and how it goes together. Basically its plug-and-play, with the exception of the passenger side harness that has a bit of a tricky install of a jumper wire to make the license plate light work properly. NOTE: In the video I'm shown using a piece of air hose to fish the wire through, and I mention that the customer will have to find something similar to use. But we have decided to go ahead and include it in the kit for convenience. We also have written instructions but the video does a better job of explaining and showing the process.

Features and Benefits
  • Designed to directly plug into the stock wiring harness, and into the LED lights sold by Poison Spyder (taillights, back-up lights, license plate & 3rd brake light)
  • High quality wiring, weatherproof connectors and protective split-loom sheathing.
  • LED Resistors included and wired in, to correct turn signal flash rate.
  • Easily installs using common tools, with no cutting or splicing into the Jeep's stock wiring (it may be removed, if needed, leaving the stock wiring intact and un-altered).
  • No electrical or wiring skills are needed for installation.

The retail price of all of the wiring components adds up to $203 (if wiring for 2 reverse lights per side plus the license plate light), not including the license plate light itself, or the taillights or backup lights. Yes that is a significant expense to add on to an already expensive project if you're doing corners, bumpers and LED's. So we realize these won't be for everyone. They're designed to make the job of wiring these lights easy and non-destructive to the Jeep's stock wiring. But for anyone who would rather save the money, we still offer the LED resistors by themselves, and each of the LED lights come with wiring pigtails. So its still an option to simply do the wiring yourself if you have the skill, tools, and patience.

If you have any further questions about these or any Poison Spyder products, feel free to call our sales department at 951-849-5911 or contact any of our Authorized Poison Spyder Dealers.

Hey guys just a heads up there has been a slight delay on one of the components in this kit. The affected components should be in stock by late next week. I'll update this thread when that happens. Thanks,
