Your best bet would be to go get a couple of estimates.
It will depend if they want to panel paint it or blend it with the hood. It hard to panel paint and get it to match a 100%. Once you figure paint, prep, material and labor I could only guess between $200 and $400.

Looks great. I wonder how a Red one would look on a Black Jeep....

Depends on what color paint you are trying to match too... My PS4 silver metallic is a ***** to match and takes a lot of wet sanding to make it just right. The problem with going to a shop is that the size of the object being painted doesn't really matter much, as you said it's the prep work, labor, and skill that you pay for.

If it were me, I would just pay $50-100 to have it powdercoated black and call it a day. Black and blue work. Black works with virtually everything..

Then do your grill black!

I like your idea. I could spray the grill with that spray-on bed liner in a can.

Really, I guess you could spray the louver with the same thing and do it right at home for next to nothing... it just depends on if you want to do it yourself or pay to have it done, you know? Powdercoating is generally pretty cheap and durable compared to getting something painted at a body shop (in my experience), but I've also learned after owning a Jeep that sometimes it's okay to just spray paint stuff.

I just finished doing some touch up work after cutting the hood and test fitting the louver this past weekend. Gonna drop off the louver at the paint shop in the morning so it will be a few days before I can do the final install. I will try to remember to take a few pics. I'm surprised how close the instructions have you cutting to the middle support in the hood.

Hey Dusty, any ETA on the 97-02 model design yet? Looks like it's time to expand to the market needs

Thanks Dusty! Do you happen to know anyone (or yourself) that might have some influence on convincing the geeks to get things moving? Worth a shot I guess...
