Poison Spyder Hood Louvers
Poison Spyder Hood Louver Panels are available now for JK, Late TJ/LJ, Early TJ, YJ and '76-'86 CJ.

The Poison Spyder Hood Louver panel helps keep your engine running cool by promoting airflow through the engine compartment. Many factors can contribute to high under-hood temperatures, which can translate to higher engine coolant temperatures and overheating. Headers, slow speeds, flex fans, and the cramped spaces of the engine compartment can all contribute to increased heat and reduced airflow. This Hood Louver kit frees up airflow through the engine compartment, allowing hot air to escape and cooler air to be drawn in through the radiator, improving cooling of both the engine coolant and under-hood air. Rock-crawlers and slow-moving vehicles are especially susceptible, as slower speeds naturally result in reduced airflow.

In addition to improved cooling performance, Poison Spyder Hood Louvers add great looks to your Jeep! Crafted from thick gauge aluminum sheet, CNC laser-cut and precision die-stamped. Hood Louvers are fairly easy to install but do require some drilling and cutting of your hood. Stainless steel fasteners are supplied. Hood Louvers are available in bare aluminum or powder coated black.

Sorry guys at this point our product line is Wrangler & CJ focused. We have ambitions to expand into the XJ market but no timeline for that at this point.

Just a clarification that the initial hood louver product is specific to the '03-'06 TJ/LJ. A version for the earlier TJ's is in the works.

How hard is the install?

Its not too bad. We provide a cut template for cutting the holes in the hood that will be underneath the louver panel. We recommend unbolting the hood from the Jeep and putting it on a bench or sawhorses to make the work easier. You remove the windshiled squirter, footman loop, bumpers, and the insulation pad from underneath. Then you mark using the template, and use a hole saw and cut-off wheel or body saw to make the cuts. Then align the hood louver onto the hood and drill all of the bolt holes. De-burr the bolt holes, touch up all the cut edges with paint to keep it from rusting. Then bolt the hood louver panel on. If you want to keep the insulation pad you'll need to cut the same holes in it.

Its a fairly easy process if you're familiar with tools and how to use them. But it is a somewhat long process, and patience and attention to detail will pay off in the end.

I'd say no reason this wouldn't fit on an XJ. Might have to cut off the top part where the spider is, but I'm sure it would fit. I almost did this, but someone in my club has an almost identical louver and I didn't want to copy :)
