Hey, folks. We have some bad news about bumpers, but we hope you'll understand...
While we have polished the design and ended up with a product we're happy with, we've run into one major problem that ultimately effects you, the customer: cost.
Simply put, the cost of manufacturing (laser cutting, metal bending, welding, fiberglass work, and so on) has risen in recent years
, and although we've been able to produce a first batch of bumpers
, we're forced to ask a price that's higher than the $450-500 range we anticipated, in order to make any profit at all.
Even if we have a great product, we're not entirely satisfied until we can offer it at a price we feel is fair to all of you, and is competetive in the market. So we thought we'd let you know where we're at on that, to be upfront with you all.
We still plan to offer bumpers again just as soon as we can find a way to do so cost-effectively.
(Own or know a business in the Utah area that might be interested in making a bid? PM us!) In the meantime, the "First Dibs" List for bumpers remains closed, but sales of Flares keep going up--which is good news for the future of the bumpers, too.
If you're thinking "I don't care if it's more expensive, I NEED that bumper" ...give us a call. Maybe we can work something out. Notch Bumpers just aren't ready for 'prime time,' yet. That's all.
Thanks everyone for all the interest and encouragement. We LOVE our jobs! We hope you understand our dilemma and appreciate us being upfront.
