I have some sweet designs coming, so stay tuned. We should be able to modify them for square headlights.
I'm using an Optima red top with top and side posts.

Are the side post at the corners of the battery or are they in the middle like in the photo of the flame top previously posted.

I have a NAPA exide orbital gel battery. Will they work with the optima battery trays/covers?

Keep moving forward. But keep an eye on history, for if you don't, you are doomed to repeat it.

What Exide orbital do you have? There are lots of different exides and optimas so some dimensions/model numbers would help.

Those dimensions are a little bit larger than the Odyssey PC1500 mount but I imagine they are the same group number. Can you get me any model numbers off the battery so I can find better pictures and make a mount?

Edit: Never mind, clicked the link and can id the battery. I'll look into it some more and respond.

Thanks for the orders. The 34 REAR mounts have been really hot lately. Sending a bunch more off to powdercoating in the morning.

Any reason why you don't make these with the nuts just welded to the battery tray? It would be so much easier to remove the battery if all you had to do was take the bolts out and not have to worry about the nuts falling down somewhere that we can't reach.

Trays look sick though, might have to pick one up sometime soon.

We leave modifications like those up to the end user if they like and it helps keep prices down. We did however locate the nuts/bolts at the very top of the tray to help easily bolt the tops down. For some reason, other mount manufacturers' put the bolt/nut location down on the side of the tray making it hard to get at if the space is cramped.

These dual Odyssey mounts have also been really popular recently. The great thing about these is that you get the advantages of a dual battery setup in about the space (just 1/8" taller) of a regular groups 34 and 35 batteries which are common to most jeeps. Personally verified that it works in TJ's and JK's. If your vehicle can fit any optima battery, this will fit.

Here is a shot of the dual Odyssey 925 batteries mounted in a TJ. I didn't have the wiring hooked up but there is plenty of room to do so. I love the way that powdercoating looks.

I just got an Optima Yellow top, do these new mounts fit in the stock location on an XJ?

If this is the battery you have then yes, the battery mount will fit in an XJ. You will want one of our Group 34 mounts for that battery. We have a few different styles to choose from to fit any particular build but this should suit you.

To some people's surprise, there are quite a few different yellow tops. mostly everyone is referring to either the 34 or 34/78 but there are others available. Most jeeps either use a 25,35 or 34. I had a 34 in my Cherokee. Yellow Tops
