We used to recommend a competitor's product for stand alone shackle tabs... until they changed their design from 7/8" to 1/2" thick in order to compete at a price point with our modular tabs. What you see above is our response; the strongest stand-alone shackle tab on the market for 1999-2004 Grand Cherokees, period.
We've designed these to tuck up as close to the fascia as possible, allowing you to keep your stock approach angle. Each one is constructed with 8.5” of fillet weld and two 9/16” diameter plug welds connecting the 0.75" tab to a 0.25” bracket, which has been bent on a CNC press brake to a radius that maximizes strength. Each tab assembly is bolted to its own 0.25” backing plate via three 1/2" Grade 8 bolts.
What that all translates to is a tow hook replacement with a full one-inch-thickness at the critical joint for off angle pulls, more weld area than a Warn receiver, a clamping area over 18.5 square inches of your uniframe, and a design strength of 35,000#... per tab.
If you're concerned about such things (you don't really need to be with the warranty these carry) we're using an extremely conservative WLL of 3.5 tons, with a safety factor of 5:1.
To install the tabs, you're going to need to widen a few holes in your uniframe. These are a stand alone product that will not work with our modular products. They will work in conjunction with any "hidden"/"stealth" behind-the-bumper winch plate you might want to install.
Phosphated, epoxy primed, and black powdercoated to keep them looking good wther your bouncing them off rocks at Moab, or parking dividers at the mall.

There are roughly 10 sets available for order from this batch.
It's come to my attention that a decent number of folks wanted to wait for these to be in stock before ordering. Unfortunately, as a small shop, no orders=no production. We've gotten lead times down quite a bit (this run will end up at ~3 weeks from the first order), but once we're sold out, we're out until new orders come in. Moral of the story? Order product when you want it, otherwise you may be waiting for someone else to put in an order before we run a batch again.
Just something to keep in mind for those who might be on the fence about putting in an order for our product.
