Poison Spyder BFH Front Bumpers

http://pix.poisonspyder.com/Vehicles..._3a23u-L-1.jpg

Poison Spyder Customs BFH™ front bumper is designed for those hardcore four-wheelers who value strength, simplicity and function. This bumper was literally "Built For the Hammers" with the best ground clearance, tire clearance and approach angle possible. It is no wider than the Jeep's frame rails, with angled facets to improve its ability to slide over the rocks. The BFH™ bumper is CNC laser-cut from a single piece of high strength 3/16" plate steel, then precision brake-formed for an exact fit. The BFH™ bumper features an integrated winch mount and one-piece design. Customize your BFH™ bumper with several different Stinger/Bar options, Winch Fairlead Mount, and Heavy Duty Shackle Tabs.

The optional Brawler Bar is a lower-profile Stinger, fashioned after the 2-bend Stinger featured on our Original RockBrawler bumper for JK. The Brawler Bar features the most versatile combination of trail protection and a lower profile for easier access to the engine compartment, fitment into garages and trailers, etc. Plus it looks bad-***! The Brawler Bar extends 7.4" forward from the front edge of the bumper, and 9.8" high from the top surface of the bumper.

The optional Trail Stinger™ is similar in proportion to the famous Poison Spyder Trail Stinger™. This time-honored design has proven itself on hundreds of Jeeps over the past decade, providing simple, clean lines along with a measure of forward-flop protection. The Trail Stinger™ extends 13.4" forward from the front edge of the bumper, and 17" high from the top surface of the bumper.

The optional Comp Stinger™ for the BFH™ front bumper matches the lines of our stand-alone Comp Stinger™s. For those getting into the more hard-core aspects of the sport, the Comp Stinger™ provides even better forward-roll prevention, as well as increased protection of the radiator area and engine compartment in the event of a rollover. The Comp Stinger™ extends 17.6" forward from the front edge of the bumper, and 21.9" high from the top surface of the bumper.

The optional Recovery Shackle Tabs are machined from 1" thick plate steel to provide a secure attachment point for 3/4" recovery shackles. These tabs are specifically engineered to match the angles of the BFH™ bumper to result in zero loss in approach angle.

The optional Winch Fairlead Mount is a separate piece (bolt-on, not weld-on) that mounts between your winch and the BFH™ bumper to provide a secure mounting surface for the winch fairlead (find it in the "Related Items" section below).

The JK BFH Disco Skid is an optional bolt-on skid plate to protect the factory electric swaybar disconnect motor on JK's. In stock form this motor hangs low, making it vulnerable to rocks and trail hazards. The BFH Disco Skid protects it, but also comes with hardware and instructions to rotate the motor upward, further out of harm's way. Like the BFH bumper, the Disco Skid is made of CNC laser-cut 3/16" plate steel and is designed to be a great looking, functional addition to the JK BFH bumper.

Do you by chance have any more detailed pictures of the TJ version mounted up? Perhaps a side shot showing how far out the different guards stick?

We only have one TJ (actually an LJ) here at the shop with a Brawler BFH on it so I took this shot for you. The version shown is with the Brawler Bar. To compare it to the other stingers, the Brawler Bar sticks 9.8" forward of and 7.4" higher than the top-forward corner of the bumper. The same measurements for the Trail Stinger are 17" & 13.4", and for the Comp Stinger 21.9" & 17.6". Hope that info helps.

Love the new Brawler look Dusty! Tell Larry Rick from Farmington says hello.

Will do, Rick. BTW, if you know a Bronco guy named Steve George tell him I said hi. He's a tech at the Ford dealership out there and pretty active in the Farmington wheeling scene. He and i are fellow Early Bronco enthusiasts.

Will do my friend. I have been trying to get Steve out with the Sundays Rock group. We wheel every Sunday in ChokeCherry Canyon. One of the ARB guys is riding with me this Sunday.

Can I use my existing warn winch plate with this bumper?

Nope, this bumper will replace your winch plate, it has its own winch mount. So you can sell the winch plate to help fund the BFH purchase!

The only caveat is if you have an 8274, which the BFH does not have mounts for. But standard-pattern winches (most planetary drive Warns and other brands) will bolt right to the BFH, and we offer a fairlead bracket sold separately.

JK BFH with Comp Stinger :D

You guys should do a side by side by side comparison shot of each bumper to compare the lengths. :D

MountainMan864 09-28-2010 08:27 AM

How does the Brawler Bar compare with the Rokmen or Savvy Bar? I love bumpers and the Brawler Bar but like more of a pointed edge on my bars. Good price though.

Mike, I don't have side shots of all the different variants of this bumper but if you want to know how they compare, on our website in the product descriptions it has the measurements for how far forward and upward each of the bar styles sticks out. Hope that helps.
