It doesn't go on as thick as Monstaliner. That just goes to show how thick the liner actually is.

A good soaking is OK and you can let it dry up on its own.
Just don't use high pressure spray

Hey,

I had a few questions for you.

I just got done spraying the Raptor liner inside my jeep. I would have used yall but I purchased the kit before I saw you as a vendor. It sat for months before I finally used it.

I sanded and prepped everything very good. I used acid etch primer that they recommended.

I had one 4"x4" on a curve shrink so when I pushed on it it broke. I would not call it a bubble. it looks like it shrank. And after getting it wet from a bag of ice I have very tiny rust spots showing. I had no rust before.

I want to fix the problem now before it gets worse.

Is the chassis saver something I can apply over the liner then reapply the monstaliner back over?

When I did the raptor It was in 4 coats. Each coat was pretty even and I felt was the right amount.

What about using the under coating gun and selling the kit with bottles and quarts so you can do small projects?

I'm at work right now so I dont have any good pics but I will post them up when I can.

Thanks,
Brandon

Someone had a similar problem earlier. You will have to strip out as much of the old liner as you can and ensure proper prep work.

MagnetMan should be able to give better advice, this was just the quick gist of things.

I just sprayed it in 2 weeks ago. The rest of it is on there. Besides the small patch and the very tiny rust spots it looks just fine.

I am going to be putting this on the front grill. How much sanding do I need to do on the pain there for prep?

Over the mountains and through the woods, across the stream and up the slickrock, down the canyon and over the rocks to nobody's house I go.

Where and on what kind of surfaces did you use the etch primer?

What is the surface like directly under the spot that shrank and popped off?
Is that spot bare metal or original OEM paint?

Same as everywhere else. It is still factory paint.

Sand the clear coat carefully until it has no remaining gloss

You know what. I just went out there and looked and it was a spot that was original paint and not sanded well. I hadent pulled the liner pieces off yet.

Now to the very small rust spots. The best way to describe them is it looks like tiny spot the size of a ball point pen. I just went and had a detailed look and it's almost like the coverage had small holes that left the primer bare.

I would like to know if I can brush the monsta on the raptor for the first coat to ensure proper coverage, then spray a coat on for texture?

Seems like people are having success with spraying and brushing. I rolled both of my coats and it came out great.

Thanks.

One other question. What is the longest time possible to wait to roll on the second coat?

Over the mountains and through the woods, across the stream and up the slickrock, down the canyon and over the rocks to nobody's house I go.
