I guess that would work. I would wait until the day of the coat to wash it out and then MEK it just to get all the crap out from the week.
Drying time will depend on your humidity, more humid, faster dry. I waited about 5 and a half hours on mine and it wasnt a very humid day.

MattMan, read that install thread that was posted. There is a lot of information about timing in there.

Basically, if you prep through the week and just tape and sand under the driver's seat, you could do one coat on Friday, and maybe two on Saturday (since you will have enough with 2 gallons), and put the interior back together later on Sunday (or at least the drivers seat so you can drive to work).

I did something almost stupid by putting everything back together the next day, and that caused me to chip the rear bumper (oh well.... patch worked well).

I am reading through the writeup right now.

This looks doable in a weekend.

cheap, cheap throw away

bargain basement nylon, polyester, etc (black bristle)
You can use a cheap chip brush with tan hairs but pull out all loose stuff before using

Everyone offered good advice.
Just get your prep/scuffing done ahead of time because that is the tiring part
Even if you cruise with driver seat only for a week.

On 1st coat, get all tough spots with brush, wait 4 to 6 hours or just overnight for 2nd coat.

If left overnight, make sure can is sealed tight. In the AM, add 4 to 6 oz MEK to remaining coating and roll 2nd coat. Pull tape right away when done.

Thinking about using monstaliner on my scrambler project. Do you think 1 gallon would cover the whole inside?

Do a quick measure.... MagnetMan says 60 sqaure feet at 2 thick coats. It is just barely enough for a 4 door JK, and is enough for an LJ. How large is the interior of the Scrambler? I would imagine no more than 10'x5', so you should be fine with 1 gallon.

I kind of skipped that part. I probably should have done it, but whatever. I believe it is supposed to be a light misting.

I would say wipe it up after a while, but I can't imagine it hurting to leave it on.
