I did under the hood hinges, door hinges, tailgate hinges, under the wiper pivots, everywhere on my CJ7 and no problems with reassembly.

Hope this helps.

Thanks YJDave. Let me know how it turns out!

It helps Supertrunk, thanks much. I'm going to go ahead and line everything and assemble after it dries.

@magnetman

I have a small block Chevy that I'm rebuilding and sitting on my shelf is a quart size can of black Chassis Saver.

Rather than spend $30 in engine enamel, am I able to give the block a coat of Chassis Saver instead?

Better off rolling in the early AM as soon as the sun is up.
This means your prep needs to be done at least the day before you plan to roll.
DO NOT try to prep and roll in the same day which would mean you are applying later in the day when it's hotter.
If you can't get away from the heat, delay the job for cooler temps.

Ask questions here or PM me for more tips on hot temperature applications.
Our S8 Reducer is a better alternative to MEK or Acetone for the solvent float in the open can between coats (top of Pg 5 in the install guide).
Also, a spray bottle with S8 in it can be used to spray a mist over your roller tray to prevent the coating from starting to skin over in the tray.
Do not put MEK or acetone in a spray bottle.

I live in central Florida where it stays stupid hot and humid for a long time. What do you consider extreme heat? I was wanting to coat my ride next month but we will still have 90+ degree days with humidity in 70%+ for what I am sure will be all month. What would the ideal temp be to apply the liner? Do I need to wait until October when we might sneak a chance at a few days in the 70's?

I apologize if someone already asked this, but can i return unused gallons (tint, catalyst, and gallon of base)? I bought the 2 gallon kit but only used one. Can i return the unused or should i just put a third coat on the jeep?

Probably wouldn't be worth the shipping to return it, I'd use it up

And I would keep it for touch ups, over the next couple of years.

On a unrelated note....Any one do any art work using this product? or even just stencil or two tone applications? tried browsing the pics...but so many are lost to photobucket or whatever it was..

So I just bought my first jeep! Its in decent shapefor its age ('88 cherokee) except for the paint. I've decided to go with the desert tan option of monstaliner with some black on thebottom a few inches , but am not sure how many gallons I need, and what if any kits I need. The website is kind of confusing.

Just registered for the site -- Am a member of a few others but this one seems to be the authority on Monstaliner

Question -- Has anyone ever tried to coat the headliner insert of a XJ?

Prep it, clean all the cloth and foam but instead of re-lining it with cloth use monstaliner instead -- Thoughts? Pics? Comments?

Thanks, Jer

@magnetman

Any sales for Labor Day?

Also, for those interested, Monstaliner just introduced 3 new colors on Facebook, one is a match for FDE (Flat Dark Earth), one is a match for Coyote Tan, and the third looks to be similar to Foliage Green.

want to know how much to order

I have a 95 Wrangler I am wanting to coat the inside and outside of the tub. Will be going od green for the exterior and the quartz grey for the interior, just curious as to how much I should be ordering. Looking to roll it on, was thinking 2 gallons for the outside and 2 for the inside. Does that seem about right?
