Just placed my order for a 1 gallon kit to do my YJ. Live in an apt with no garage so was wondering when and where I would do this. Just found out today a co-worker is going on vacation for 2 weeks and I'm gonna watch his house for him, so might as well make use of his garage, lol. I'm planning on also coating my fender flares, any special prep work needed for the material to adhere to the plastic?
Thanks for that order!
Please read this document if you plan to coat plastic.
This method is proven so deviation from or substitution of materials can cause unpredictable results.
I am starting the prep on my LJ tomorrow. I am going to hold off on doing the tailgate because I really want to do the front grill and front vertical surface of the fenders to protect them from stone chips and brush scratches.
Hoping to get it all torn out and start the first coat on Saturday. Having a work day on the Jeep and having an Aussie locker installed in the front.
Over the mountains and through the woods, across the stream and up the slickrock, down the canyon and over the rocks to nobody's house I go.
Hahaahaaha thanks guys, I cleaned it a while ago but have had the carpet over it and it stays pretty nice. It actually has a few dents but Luckrider is right, just the lighting. The jeep used to look rough until I bought it and put a TON of TLC in it. You wouldn't even know I wheel it.
Anyways, just got done scuffing, now for MEK (hold my breath!) lol
That is actually what we did. We had the big door open, and then the door to the boiler room, the door between the boiler room and the laundry room, and the door from the Laundry room to the outside (it all used to be garage space). That made for great venting.
