This is correct. Scuff till you generate some white dust. Don't smooth out texture. Flexible scuff pad is best as it will conform to surface.

Did you try nail polish remover or acetone?

Both. The nail polish remover ended up smearing brown swil marks as wide as my scrubbing area..probably 1ft.

I confused you with someone else.

For tree sap... have you tried regular mineral spirits?

Don't wipe it around immediately, just soak a piece of rag and hold it on the sap spot for a few mins, then see if it softens and dissolves

He magnetman,
I would like to remove my roll cage when I go to apply ML to the tub of my TJ so that I don't have to cut up the ML if I ever need to remove the cage in the future. Should I be worried about reinstalling the cage back on top of the ML? I am worried about cracking or tearing the ML at the edges of the cage base.

Question regarding the Chassis Saver. I put down one coat in the high touch areas. No problems with rust here. I am going to save the majority of the can for the undercarriage.

However, I installed the Chassis Saver approx. 10 hours ago. Temps here are cold, and it feels sticky to the touch. It does not rub off. Can I install MonstaLiner over it, or should I sand the Chassis Saver? Thanks.

Coat it now with ML if you can to avoid having to scuff if you let it cure hard.
You still have up to 24 hrs to do this without scuffing

is it possible to paint on top of monstaliner?

I'm looking to add a design, after I paint the body.

I would not be concerned about this. Just place the cage back carefully when reinstalling so you don't gouge the fresh liner. Give it 2 days or more to cure before installing

You can paint over it but you need to scuff first if you wait long after cured

How extensive of a design?
Will it be freehand or with taping off or stencil?
