damn wiring!

First order of business is to pull my carpet and monstaline my tub. I'll be placing my order this payday, I can not wait to spend some money on an upgrade for a change.

I want to be prepared, so on top of the 1 gallon kit, I believe I need the following...

2" roller and block
MEK
painters tape
ear plugs (for the holes)
wire brush or sand paper
normal brush for the chassis saver
latex gloves
mask

anything else?
Read my post about what I learned from doing mine! YMMV but just reading the words "earplugs" made me cringe!

I would recommend getting a plastic razor scraper blade thingy. Like these. They work great for getting the oops off.

Someone told me last week after he forgot to get earplugs: balls of silly putty and a dry wall screw to remove them

I vote this as the new recommended method of keeping bolt holes clear of liner

I still think the recent post showing the bolts that are supposed to go in the holes just taped and screwed in was the absolute best idea. Tape the upper half of the bolt and screw it in until the tape meets the surface. Do the lining and back out the bolt while wet. Lather, rinse, repeat.

This looks like the easiest. No issues with loosing a piece of anything. No issues forgetting a piece and then having to cut it out. No prep time to speak of. Nothing to get lost. Nothing to buy. Never too small, too far in, or too far out.

The only thing that I can see that might be an issue is to make sure the bolt is all the way in to the tape. I really wish that I would have known about this when I did mine.

I pulled out the cowel seal but left the windshild attached. I didnt care if it got on the edges of the window / seal bc I need to replace my windshild sometime soon anyway.

I was even able to get it off of the plastic dash pieces next to the front of the doors quite easily. Plastic razor worked wonders while the stuff was drying. Now... Forget it! A grinder would probably get it off of the plastic.

So just tape it off if you don't remove it. Then while you are waiting between coats the stuff will begin to cure and you can easily get the stray off.
