All back together, gonna have to order a touch up set in the future to fix a few spots, but I'm really happy with how it came out.

Any way to get some non-monstaliner color matched smurfadelic for when I get my hood scoops (they won't be in for at least another week)

Finished off the sides today. Its snowing we had the door closed (wearing OV respirators) and a heater going, no issues with application but a mistake in terms of smell seeping into the house. It wasn't bad yesterday working with the door mostly open but sealed up it soaked through.

Still mixed up too much material and did an immediate third coat which started chewing up the roller again. Couldn't lay it on thicker with these being verticall surfaces. I think planning for three individual coats and mixing accordingly would be a better approach if still going for the full build.

Anyways at 5' it looks really nice in my mind.

I have scuffed the Chassis Saver coated YJ down again. The Chassis Saver is twice as hard to scuff than stock paint and primer.
I used 3M stripping pads I picked up from walyworld. $4 with a handle and $2 for two replacements.
I'll do a final scuffing and get all the nooks and crannys with the scuffing pads that came with the Monstaliner. Then Sunday I'll be spraying!

Thanks for the info over the phone today Eric.

GOt 1 gallon of CS gloss Black and 1 gallon of Satin Black ordered today. Will mix them like you said Magnetman. Can't wait to get things done! I got a jeep, a Pilot and a Cherokee to get done next week. THanks for the tips and help!

Rock krawler Stock Mod 2.5, Bilstein 5100 series shocks, Mamba M5 18" rims, 285/65/18 Nitto Trail Grappler tires, Body Armor Front bumper w/winch and LOTS of LED lights all over the place for blinding oncomers! LOL

I bought a palm sander today at HF for $15. I deglossed alittle bit with the heavy duty stripping pads tonight and it works great. The contact surface is looped like velcro and holds the pad really good. It got too late, so I'll finish tomorrow.

Hey Eric,
One more question!

I'm going to put one more coat of Chassis Saver on the outside of the Jeep Saturday afternoon and I will be applying the Monstaliner Sunday morning.
I know I do not need to rescuff the CS since I'll be recoating within 24 hours.

Do I need to wipe it down with MEK before I spray the Monstaliner Sunday morining?

Happy Motoring,
Bryan

Magnetman -

Got my carpets out and the other day figured I'd get some primer and flat black enamel rattlecan on the bad spots.

So - my question: Is this too advanced for chassis saver:

Overall impression is at say 5' it looks really good like I said (to my overly critical self review, most likely wouldn't notice). Looks like it will be a great coating and took way less fairing.

My only minor critiques are in my application. I couldn't lay thick enough in two coats w/o heavy looking spots and due to my tight timeline we laid down an immediate third coat to use up the mixed stuff which stressed the rollers so I got some bits. I will mix less at first and plan for three individual coats when I do the bottom.

Smell is mostly out of the house now...

It made a positive impression on my step-dad who was helping me on his visit, he's thinking of grinding out the rust on his truck rocker panels, welding in patches (and fair them in) then coat over his rockers in monsta for the high build/hide properties and toughness.
