Blood Bath VW Vanagon (rolled)

I continue to be amazed on a daily basis with the craftsmanship of many people armed with simply a roller.

I've been following this project for a while since I first heard of it. Visit Glenn's blog for an awesome, ongoing documentation of his restoration. The blog now has thousands of followers after a writeup in the LA Times a few years ago.

You'll need to navigate backwards through older posts to follow the history of the project. It's quite interesting with a very clever writing style.

That came out great. Makes me excited to see how mine comes out and also reinforces that I made the right coating choice on my project.

I picked up some monstaliner from a friend and not too sure how long it sat for. I know that the shelf life is 12 months. Am I taking a chance on using it if it has sat for longer than the 12 months? Really hope that I didn't waste my money on this.

The gallon can has a white tag on top, 2 lines of type, date and lot#... what are they?

I thought of your project when posting that. Good lighting and a 2nd person to eyeball your final rolling is my best recommendation

I'm wanting to do some new tutorial type videos.

What subjects and procedures would be of interest to people that would be best explained through show and tell of video??

The big cans in bottom of box is the only thing you need to be concerned with. Date appears as 2-03-12, Lot # 90-812

This stuff is fine to use. Formula was adjusted for settling at least 6 months prior to this.

Only reason there would be a problem is if material was stored at hot-hot temps over a long summer

Quickly shake one of the gallons for 10 seconds (hold on tight) I've heard of people throwing one across a room

Turn can over and knock hard on bottom. You will know if it feels like settled cement down there or if it feels normal

Check it before you plan to use it not the day you plan to use it

As long as there's no cement like sediment that won't mix in.. it's good
