no offense intended...it's a great product and you should be proud of everything you've done. I'm happy with my Monstaliner.

Almost any paint can be brushed or rolled. When painting a vehicle you normally would not roll because you would then have to sand out any roller marks you left in the finish before you sprayed a glossy topcoat finish over it. Minor imperfections in a rolled primer will be hidden by the texture of Monstaliner. You just don't want to do a sloppy job leaving heavy drips or lap marks because that could show through the liner.

Automotive paints are designed to dry very fast with solvents that flash off quickly. Rolling these type of products needs to be done with care and a little speed because as the solvents flash off, the coating will get too sticky to roll back into. So... as you roll, you want to even out your lap marks quickly and move on without re-rolling into areas that you've already done.

Auto paint stores don't have experience with this concept which is why a store clerk may look at you funny when you tell them you want something you could roll. The product you were looking at locally can probably be rolled like I explained.

PPG actually had an automotive primer designed to be rolled on spot repairs. Their claim was that it saves time after applying filler and sanding because the man doing the sanding can also do the rolling without having to bring the vehicle back to the painter in the booth and loading up a gun to spray.
Ah ok thanks. That answers it all and then some! You are truly a pro in your field. And your support to the JF community is uncanny!

No offense taken goducks3620!

Thanks sparrows, I was getting bored with the paint business till we developed ML and it's just good that I'm able to have some fun at work now and make a difference for those that use the products we create
