Hey Eric,
This is Mike. I was in the warehouse with you yesterday talking about painting the interior and exterior of my wrangler. Listen, i emailed you about something we spoke about about. Check it and get back to me when you can. My phone number is in the email. Thanks. You'll be happy to hear the info.

I tried to find what I was looking for in this thread. I searched and I read until I went cross-eyed. So now I'm going to ask the question that I know has probably been asked a hundred times before. I have the ACE Crawler Rock Rails that came as raw steel. I'd like to Monstaliner them, and I've seen how people have prepped painted surfaces and plastic surfaces, but I couldn't find anything on bare, raw steel.

Should I use self-etching primer first or something along those lines?

Avoid self etch primers. Too many issues with Monstaliner sticking well

Best locally available item for spot priming bare steel and small projects: Rustoleum "Automotive" Primer in spray cans

Recommended products we make:
• Universal 1K primer available in quarts and gallons or
• Magnapoxy 2K primer available in 2 quart kits (equal Part A:B mix)
Both these items can be sprayed or rolled

We're working on a few items of our own to be available in spray cans

First coat.... Done at 10am went on pretty good.. Used a little over 1/3 of the gallon... 1 normal roller 1 small roller and a brush. Round 2 coming around 1:30-2:00 will update with pics and usage... Garage smells pretty strong right now.... Kinda like it....
