Got my first coat done today.. Any tips on making this stuff not thicken up so quick in the sealed container? Once I mixed it all it started to get thick after 30 mins in 65 degree weather... Thought I saw somewhere to add 4oz of MEK?? Also, how long has anyone let this stuff sit before doing the second coat? It's inside for the night, & I was gonna tackle it again in the morning. Would I be ok doing a second coat after like 12 hours?

You are gonna be cutting it close and I would say you're not gonna make it. You can add some MEK and stir it up really well but I dunno. Good luck.

I'd pour some on top and let it set. sealed..hell I might put it in the fridge but not sure what the cold would do so don't do that lol.

Oh, I meant can I do a second coat after 12 hours, or do I need to wait longer.... I didn't mean can I let the mixed gallon sit for 12 hours.

If I let it dry overnight do I need to scuff it down, or can I just mix the last gallon & go?

REALLY? You're going to verbally attack me now? I did not state anything that wasn't the truth or derogatory in any way and you're telling me to STFU? I actually feel sorry for ignorant people like you. If you want to know the whole truth, Eric and I spoke a couple of months ago and he asked if I would bring my CJ to his shop to spray it with Monstaliner. He thought it would be good for publicity and he never did a CJ before and thought it would be a cool project. He wanted to do it in September. This was back in July when we first planned this. He was going to donate the materials as well but I prefer to pay for them since we both benefit from the deal. In the meantime, my Cj which has undergone a frame off resto (see build thread) has been waiting for a final finish and September is almost gone, the cold weather is coming here in NY and Eric is nowhere to be found. I'm not angry in any way, I just want a response as to weather or not we are going to do this project together. I'm running out of good weather and since I replaced about 70 percent of the metal on my tub, I don't want it to sit too much longer under a tarp ( I don't have a garage ) without a final finish on it. If he decided against the project, it's not a problem, I just need to know so I can figure out a plan B.

No! For the tintable liner it needs to be done before 8 hrs later. Or you have to scuff everything up again. Magnet man pmed me personally to tell me that after I said I was going to wait till the next day for the second coat. I ended up doin the 2nd coat around 11pm because of this.

Edit: only black monsta can go 24hrs without scuffing.

I believe Eric will extend the Promo, If you order and go to the check out screen and add promo codes it still should work, you will be able to tell before you commit...
For the Chassis save you need to add one to your cart then use the promo code for it to work (ask me how I know that...
