I plan on doing the plastics and follow the fender lines (even across the door) and also doing my bumpers.. all this in black

I think with what you are doing.. you wouldnt need two gallons, just one.. but im not sure.

are you doing either of your bumpers? also, I want to see more pics of the fender trim I want to look at them so I feel ready when I do mine!!

Im gonna do monstaliner and the trim at the same time so I dont have to worry much about ruining the paint

I'm sure it's been asked many times in a 8900 post thread but....

What's the unopened shelf life on Monsta and Chassis Saver? What's the optimal storage comditions?

Want to purchase before price increase but not going to use right away.

Store at room temp or cooler
Both will be good for at least 1 year. The longer you keep them the harder the lids are to get off

Black ML will settle slightly if kept at warm temp for extended periods

Thanks!

I used the styrofoam that the Monstaliner cans came in, pushed the bolts/screws down so only the tops were painted. Monstalined the tops of the bolts for the hinges but wanted the black on the interior so just used good old spray paint.

That is a great looking CJ Pirate. The matching seat belts are a nice touch =)

CJ's when they actually stamped Jeep in the metal so you still have a Jeep after painting not a Joop =\

Woah, hey again, JF. Been quite a while. I guess time got away from me as I enjoyed the last few weeks of Summer up here in Fairbanks!

Anyway, I wanted to pop in and thank the folks at Magnet Paints for extending a shipping discount to me here in Alaska. I placed an order in late June, and it arrived the first week of July. Of course I had just taken my TJ out on a trail the previous weekend and mobbed a few puddles on our way out, so my interior had a nice mud/dust coating. Spent Friday evening cleaning that out, then the better part of Saturday dismantling the interior and sanding everything down.

Sunday was the big day. Had a -big- scare right at the beginning: Didnt' have one of those clip-on pouring aids for paint cans, so in trying to prevent any excess liner from dribbling down the side of the can, I accidentally spilled a whoooole mess of it. Spilled it on the newspaper I'd laid down, and was able to salvage the majority of what I'd spilled, but that was plenty stressful. Aside from that, all went well and I had enough leftover to apply thin third coats to the driver's side floor and the floor in the back. I actually can't find a picture of it right now, but trust me--Black on Black looks mighty fine. I had just started a new job the day after finishing the lining, and lots of the folks there took notice and liked it. Spreading the word for you, least I can do!

Love the liner, thanks a bunch Magnet crew!
