my dad wants to do our horse trailer. inside and outside. trying to plan out how many gallons.
inside is about 166 square feet.
exterior is around 300 square feet.
i dont remember how far you said a gallon will go but im thinking 2 inside, 3 outside maybe?
hes looking at the greens on exterior, maybe brown interior. hes worried about the horse **** staining the black inside. i told him it shouldnt but dads know better ;-)

i think i'm up to 4 gallons of monsta used. i just bought a hard top and full hard doors in great shape for a smoking deal. looks like i may be into another 2 gallons of monsta here very soon. maybe more, i have a line on another pair of hard tops in rough shape and another pair of hard doors in even rougher shape for $100! i may be buying them and bastardizing the rear defroster and wiper from the one and the hinges and mirrors from the doors. the remaining 2 hard tops and the other hard doors will be my winter project to resell in the spring to recover the cost of buying the doors and top i am going to use. i do not believe in body putty for these kinds of projects so i see some work in store for the sheet metal break and some time spent elbows deep in fiberglass and resin.
so now i have a bicycle frame, 3 hard tops, and 2 sets of full hard doors to monsta. some to think of it... looks like i have about 4 more gallons of monsta to buy.
do we have a fiberglass hardtop write up on here yet? if not i would be more than happy to get as detailed as i can in doing it. there seems to always be a lot of questions on monsta-ing hard tops. if a full writeup on it will help then i would be more than happy to oblige.
i will be posting pics of the doors and top i just brought home today in my build thread tomorrow. i also have the bike frame down to bare aluminum. i will hold off on the pics of the bike until it is complete. i will try to do the bike job all in one post when it is done.

I tried, but could not peruse the over 500 pages of this thread. Did anyone ask how it would stick to gelcoat? I have a fiberglass body that is over 20 years old and has never been painted. Am growing tired of the white gelcoat color and am wanting a change. What kind of prep is needed to make it stick to gelcoat? Has anyone figured out how much would be needed to cover a frame and a CJ 5 body tubs interior?
Scuff sand first and use 2K epoxy primer for old gelcoat
What do you plan for the frame? and are you coating tub + exterior or just tub?
I am from Quebec, Canada and I would like to place an order to paint the exterior of my jeep TJ. however, i'm worried about the soft top rails. will my soft top still fit if i paint inside the rails? My other quesiton is about the jeep forum promotion: Do you offer a shipping promotion to the canada or i can only get the free chassi saver quart?
