I ordered a kit a few days ago to do my RTV. I'm going to hold off on the trailer for now. I've found several comments about different sandpaper grit to use, etc but magnetman, can you tell me what I can get to put on my 18V drill? Is there a specific wire cup brush I can use for the hard to reach areas? And also what grit to get for sanding blocks.

Magnet, that is diesel mileage. And... sitting like that, maybe 11mpg. Slightly better than the 9mpg of the H2.

I have seen the lower forty and know it is the stock suspension. They did a lot of body work that isn't immediately noticeable to make everything fit and travel right. My understanding is that the suspension still has the same amount of travel it had from the factory (a little more down with the bigger shocks actually).

My 2 door gets 14 on the highway as long as I keep it under 65mph. At 80 it gets 9mpg. I run B5 bio in it but only drive it 2k miles a year so the $150 fill ups don't hurt too much. Some day this one will get a 6bt cummins and a transfercase and will get 18mpg, just waiting for the 6.5 to blow up.

Thanks for the photos

Tip opening may be too large
This unit has an open turbine motor and the manual states it should not be used with oil base or flammable products.

I would test it myself because I love fire but i don't advise you getting involved right now. ML needs to be thinned slightly for spray but we would need to ID an alternate solvent to MEK for reducing and spray with electric. But, still we can't predict any results unless tested safely.

I still need to know if it would work and I am looking at a used one now on ebay to purchase and test. Anything is possible for the future. Replacing motor w/explosion proof, tip modification, etc.

If I get this used gun I will let you know and you should watch the news for a fireball in Amityville

$16.50

Edit: I may change my mind. Specs say Maximum pressure of 2 PSI

Have you sprayed this unit with popcorn material?

Just ordered the tintable liner from you. I think I can still salvage the plain black and use it for something else. Thanks for the high quality product!

Will this adhere to body putty like bondo? I had a few small dents along the rail I bondoed. I will prime over it before applying.

Trust me, scuffing with a drill is more of a hassle than doing it by hand and wire wheeling really does not make the kind of powder off the surface like abrasive pads or sandpaper. Use 120 grit. You can go coarser down as low as 80 grit for faster scuffing but risk cutting through to metal much easier. It's all a matter of what you are comfortable with and how much you can control it without over sanding
