How much monsta did you need to spray the Metalcloaks, do you remember??

The way I see it, a Jeep is like sex-when it's good it's terrific, and when it's bad it's still pretty good!

i think i had the most overspray when i did the fenders due to their odd shape. i did the fenders with 2 decent coats, my battery tray with a light coat, and grille with a light coat all with half a gallon.

remember i only did the fenders and inner fenders, i had no flares to spray. as magnet mentioned before overspray is definately a factor when spraying like this. it wasn't so much an issue while painting the outside of the tub.

I'm going to do either herculiner or monstaliner in my bed but I'm also considering getting the poison spyder comp stinger. Has anyone painted a stinger with this material? Or is powder coating the only way to go?

Thanks deacon, I figure it's cheaper since I'll have the material already.

no matter what you put on your stinger, the moment your under full load and your winch cable, a rock, a tree, whatever rubs it you will be losing the finish. if you go powdercoat your just going to be rattle can repairing the rubbed portion. with herc your going to hate the texture and durability compared to monsta. with either herc or monsta you can simply re-apply liner to the rubbed area. i have no experience with herculiner, nor do i care to ever say i do either, but i challenge you to find a liner that will not fade in the sun, powder off on contact with anything, or maintain a relatively smooth texture over the test of time. i have seen herc in truck beds only and have seen it NOT weather near the abuse i know monsta can.

also you will not get the customer service from anyone at herc like eric himself can supply. who else lists his cell phone number on their vendor page? i have called him while standing in tractor supply to make sure i got the proper thinning agent when i ran out of MEK.

Yeah, I am sure you won't find anyone from Herc or those other liner companies willing to let a customer in their warehouse.

it would be cool to see the condition of that bumper today. that would really be a testament to the staying power of monstaliner, since you said it was a couple years ago.
