It is thinned by using 8oz mek to 1 gallon monstaliner. Is that the correct ratio?
From a the post that was an immediate reply to your previous post...

thin it with MEK (methyl ethyl keytone)
ratio varies for what texture, coverage, and thickness you want (in my experience spraying atleast) more thinning is thinner coats, flatter texture, more coverage. but you need to find what you like as far as the above.
So the ratio varies, but you can start there if you like. If you search for "spraying" in this thread, you'll come up with lots of info, and I think there may be mention in the instructions somewhere as well.

I'm not sure it really can have a powdercoat-smooth texture. If you brush it on, it will still have a little texture left behind from the bristles, I believe, but maybe thinning it will reduce the effect? I'm not really sure, but hopefully Magnetman can clarify.

Okay I wasn't sure how fussy the hard top was, fitting on. Thanks you guys! I can't wait for it to arrive so I can tackle this project!

And hi Deacon! Since you've been so helpful on my thread, I recognize your Avatar and I see you everywhere now! It's awesome, cause you always have awesome advice.

The way I see it, a Jeep is like sex-when it's good it's terrific, and when it's bad it's still pretty good!

I'm really hoping that magnet has been absent for the last day in order to surprise us with the announcement that colors are available!

the anticipation is killing me! the introduction of colors lines up perfectly with the progression of my build. i will be ready to start spraying everything Monday. As a matter of fact i got my grille and battery tray all sand blasted and ready to get CS then monstaliner yesterday.

Matched originally to what we know is an authentic color in a spray can and then we referenced some US Gov issue color charts for Fed Specs

The problem was that the spray and gov chips are flat and it's nearly impossible to get it to look exact when the liner material cures with a sheen so we did some shots of nasty Quervo Especial and flipped a coin if we should stop making ourselves crazy. We stopped and decided it looked good enough.

I'm gonna say it's ODG end of story. Next week we will have some chips to mail out on the colors being released in Phase 1.
If you want one send me an SASE to:

Monstaliner Color Chips
c/o Magnet Paint
336 Bayview Ave
Amityville, NY 11701

In bottom left corner of the return envelope write "OD Green"

Okay, Cool! I have A friend who works in a paint shop and we should have no problem matching paint to your green!

Updates

We've improved the texture requiring less re-rolling

I can't wait to get it! I just ordered it a few days ago...but I'm soooo impatient for it.

The way I see it, a Jeep is like sex-when it's good it's terrific, and when it's bad it's still pretty good!

Wow you replied to me!! Is it bad that I got all excited?

I can't wait! And...I don't think so. I was looking for the tracking number but I looked on my Monsta account and on my email and I don't see one. It had an Invoice ID but clicking on it just took me to my invoice.
