That was great, thanks

So it seems like rolling might require a little less prep due to masking, and it use a little more product overall, but it may also be a little more durable since it would tend to be applied a little more thickly.

It sounds like there's not a major or significant difference either way. I guess all I'd like to know now is how much product is required to do the a TJ from the firewall/floorboards to the tailgate. It sounds like the one gallon kit would be plenty.

Well, I'd also like to know how it compares to 1) Raptor, 2) Rhino, 3) Herc, 4) LineX, but those may already be answered in the thread and I just forgot

I think that is a great explanation for the differences between the two application methods. You did forget the thinner though. That will make it go 5% farther if you are thinning it by 5%. I wonder if you can achieve the same thickness by applying a 3rd coat.

BTW, this pic is awesome.

Not too hard for the average person to understand!

You said that you would get a thinner coat by spraying it, but couldn't I just spray it thicker to make up for it? Maybe spray more coats?

Absolutely. You just don't want to spray it too heavily in 1 thick coat so that it could sag or run.
If I were doing a jeep tub I'd spray a 1st light medium coat just shy of full coverage and
then wait 1 hour before spraying a 2nd coat then another hour for 3rd coat.

I added about 5% MEK to my spray mix and that was the photos I posted last night.
