I don't know if it was rattle can clear or rattle can gloss black or what.

Any specific recommendations for that? I'm probably going to use it to coat my beefed up rear crossmember (no rear bumper), and I'd like to keep it looking sharp. I realize that unlike Monstaliner, the Chassis Saver is not UV permanent...
Rattle can black or any color is fine to put over Chassis Saver. Clear coats are useless and will peel off the Chassis Saver eventually in the sun.

Thanks LuckRider for the info provided

Excellent. Rattle can black it will be, then.

Ah, just found all of this on the Chassis Saver tech info PDF. I was going to ask about prepping the surfaces, etc, but it looks like all my questions are answered by reading that, including why there were some small bubbles in the paint on the CJ frame I sprayed way the hell too quickly (now I know) a couple weeks ago.

Thin coats! And don't push the recommended recoat between coats or it can act like one thick coat and get bubbles.

Hi Eric, any updates on availability of the fire engine red? And would you be able to send out a sample?

I'm pushing now for 2 weeks for the fist colors to be available.
Red will be 3 to 4 weeks.

I really was not planning to send samples of colors out but I think because we are going to have sample cards around as we test what we make we can fig something out. It's going to be so much work filling requests for diff colors for diff people.

What if, when I give the go ahead, anyone wanting a colored swatch send me a self addressed stamped envelope so we have to do nothing but slip it in an envelope?
