Look into using the Bulldog adhesion promoter. I think I read that it works on chrome. I'll find the link to the Tech Data Sheet and post it later.

I would still do a fine sanding of the surface prior to Bulldog.

have to apologize ahead of time magnet for the post on the other thread to that heckler. i get wound up when people start typing before they engage their brain housing group. only thing that i hate worse is people busting on the troops overseas. i'm going to flip the switch b4 i get started again.

Ok, question. Does it have to be drilled, or can I bring it to work and just throw it in the paint shaker?

Also, I have some nice dents in the bed of my Jeep. A few of them are small and deep, so they cant be pulled out. can I just bondo them, prime, then put the monstaliner over that?

I don't have a good camera, so you really can't see how well they turned out. But follow my new build thread and I'll get more and better pictures as I go along.

Overall, I am very happy with my Monstaliner. It really saved my bacon in regards to painting/coating my parts!

New picture! But from my cell phone. I sure hope someone has a nice camera on my first trip offroad.

For those just jumping into this thread, I coated my MetalCloak Fenders with Monstaliner and they turned out great. Magnetman has superior customer service as well. I highly recommend him and his product.

Thanks for posting the pics CPT. Between those and a few PM's I exchanged with magnetman this morning, I've decided to get some Monstaliner for my new Genright tubes.

As long as you understand that you are applying bedliner and not paint. There will be some imperfections, but the texture will hide most of them. And the number one piece of advice I have is....

Make sure you have a very well lit workspace. Most of my mistakes were due to inadequate lighting.

Read back through pages 135-150 for the bulk of my project and advice.

Thanks man, after going back and catching up on all of your posts, I've got a pretty good feel for the process thanks to your trial and error. Even the texture has grown on me. I was originally wanting something a little smoother, but I have to be realistic. Having something cosmetically smooth kinda goes against the purpose of applying it in the first place. We may not have rocks around here, but there is plenty of brush. I needs something that can handle that without getting scratched to hell.
