I think we are going to be able to make one for the YJ. Our YJ has some aftermarket seats that appear to have a different bracket. We have another one coming in for R&D in the next couple of days.

Good news! Manufacturing is ahead of schedule on these and have a bunch on the final assembly line today. Some shipments will be going out this week.

That is real good news.

David told me mine should ship in about 10 days so I am not worried about it. I just need it before the 5th.

Count me in when the 99 TJ version is ready. My drivers seat does not fold and tumble it only slides and will tilt the back.
What gauge material are these made out of?
Also what kind of locking mechanism? Key or key pad or what.

Thanks
Lance

99 TJ 2.5" OME lift, 1" body lift, Poison spyder tube fenders yada yada yada too much more to list.

If its just like the JK one it will be 16 gauge steel. And locks with a key. Word on the street is a TJ prototype has been shipped to someone. Lucky bastard, lol.

I'm in for the TJ tilt and slide model, early or late model when they go into production.

I've already raised my tilt and slide driver's seat by 1.5". But my thought is that you could build the drawer to fit '97-'02 models, then offer an optional kit for '03-'06 TJ/LJ owners to do their own seat lift if required to make it fit during the install. If you are under 6' tall, you will appreciate the new vantage point. My only problem has been finding a longer hardened fine-thread bolt for the right rear mounting point.

I can't believe there are many true "fold and tumble" drivers seats out there on Tj's. But those few that do have them can change the seat mounts to the classic configuration at the same time (with the added benefit of commanding rear seat "passengers" to enter and exit on the "passenger side", as it should be.

Glad you figured that one out. After hearing there were cross bars under my driver seat, I hit the sauce.

The TJ/LJ version of the Tuffy Conceal Carry Security Drawer for models that did not have the full "flip-up" seat is now available. Here is a picture and link to the official product announcement thread:

Look at the difference in the seat from the top (mine) and bottom (yours).
What year is that jeep?
