its not bent much yet, i just started noticing it after a few WOT runs. its just barely visible around the upper link mounts that its pulling up and turning the upper plate into a W

yep i alternated sides to avoid warping things with heat too much and did 3 passes on each joint/seam

yea i think for the truss + welding it on the axle i used about all of my 8lb spool of wire. i really cant see it bending at all with even a heavily modded i6 or a mild v8 but with 5.13 gears a high stall tranny and a 6.0 **** happens

Finally got mine in (the Jeep) a few weeks ago. Ordered the damn thing in July. School sucks.


Artec, the shock mounts were a major issue for me. They didn't line up correctly when put on per instructions. Also, they were way too thick, so the shock body would hit the bracket before the holes would come close to lining up. We had to cut them off, grind them down significantly, bolt them to the shock, and use a jack to compress the shock and tack the brackets in correctly. Otherwise, the Artec kit worked pretty well.

Did you put a bolt threw them during the welding process? Could have warped... Also their instructions say to tack, fit, then finish weld. So if you tacked them and tried them out first you could have addressed the problem a little easier.

No bolt but it didn't warp. Didn't have time to install it, tear it back out, an reinstall. That would take a while. But they weren't even close. It seems I'm not the only one with this problem. A review on their site says the same thing.

So far the Artec kit is the only thing that has worked. Gave up on the ebrake.
