High Beam Clunk - Other Owners Check

Hello,

Can someone else with a 14 Cherokee let me know if they hear a loud solenoid sound when they put their high beams on?

It is way louder than the normal "click", it sounds so loud I can actually feel it in the pedals, it feels like a clunk.

Yes, normal. The plate in the middle between the light bulb and glass is there to make the difference between high and low. It cuts the reflection from the bottom up. Same thing happens with the Dodge Dart (which I previously owned and upon which the KL is based).

Parents 2010 Camaro with hid's does the same thing. With the car off you can hear the clunk as the shutters open and close. When its running you don't really hear it.

I stole it from a Dodge Dart forum.
