DESPERATLEY need roof rack cross bars!

I'm really wanting a set, but can't seem to find them that aren't hundreds of dollars. I need it to hold up a kayak or two. I tried a Reese one from Walmart earlier today but they didn't work out. Any recommondations?

DESPERATLEY need roof rack cross bars!

I purchased some for mine, and had to cut them down as they were too wide, but they look awesome!

However, I have decided to go with the Safari rack that hugs close to the roof, so these will not be needed. If you are interested in them, I can make you a great deal!

I bought a pair by cargoloc off of Amazon. Pretty sure they were around $80. I got the aluminum ones. Good quality, you can find their products at Dicks Sporting Goods too, if you're looking for attachments, etc.

I tried to attach a pic of them on my 2015 KL, but the mobile app won't let me.

Wish I had better pictures to share, but here's my KL with the cargoloc.. so far they've been great, supported many loads well and are lockable..

They might be expensive but the Thule stuff lasts a lifetime. We had our mounts on our minivan for almost 10 years, now use them on my wife's Explorer. We just had to buy longer bars. I'm looking at KLs now since I cannot afford a WK2. I can use the same bars/mounts on a KL.

Running the "brightlines", part number 70642-01. $100 shipped. First impression out of the box was they are junk plastic clips, and very thin aluminum cross rails. But, once installed, I will admit they are much more sturdy than I thought they would be. They are also lockable. I have not hauled anything very heavy on them yet (just some decking boards) and are holding up very well, not wiggling loose or anything. Noise is noticeable but tolerable. I have the sunroof, so probably louder in comparison to KLs without.

I have a set of Leopard racks from Amazon @ $55 and they are ok. Its a tight fit on the install of the brackets and they are a bit noisy. Other than that they hold a heavy load with no problems. Takes only a few minutes to install or remove and they look pretty good.

I think you'll be quite happy with your purchase, especially with the quality given the price point, no complaints on my end!

I just installed the Yakima Timberline mounts with the 48" round bars since i have had them for multiple vehicles and have all the accessory stuff to mount to them. All fit well but the wind noise above 40 MPH is horrendous. I ordered the windjammers and if this doesn't work will be going for the Jetstream bars. I never had any wind noise issues before (2-Dodge minivans and a Durango) but the Cherokee....Yikes, sounds very angry.

I got my Cargolocs installed over the weekend and am very impressed with the strength and quality for only $38 shipped to Alaska!

Update: I installed the Yakima Windjammers on the front round bars and wind noise is gone. They are @ 10" wide so I got two and spaced them equally across the front bar. They snap on easily and look like airplane wings. Plenty of space still to attach brackets and mounts and they slide fairly easy for adjustment. I wanted to use the Thule Areo Blade Edge bars as they are low profile and look factory but they were not recommended by Thule for some reason even though they had ones that would fit.
