September 28-29th. This run will be an overnighter, with camping or lodging in Shelter Cove. Saturday will include two trails, one being Usal Rd with a stop at Usal Beach. We will leave Willits Saturday and take Sherwood Rd to Fort Bragg. It will be dusty, so be prepared for it. We will top off with fuel in Fort Bragg and head north on SR-1 to Blue's Beach, where we will break for lunch. We will then continue on SR-1 to Usal Rd and break again at Usal Beach. Continuing on Usal rd will lead us to Shelter Cove and our campground. Sunday we will run King's Peak trail and end up in Humboldt Redwoods State Park. We will need to limit this run to no more than 25 rigs due to limited number of campsites.
Trail difficulty is "easy". There will be about 1/2 pavement pounding and 1/2 dirt trail/forest service type roads, with a little sandy beach time thrown in for some fun. If you're looking for hardcore wheeling, this run isn't it.
Meet up time will be at 8:30AM, Safeway parking lot in Willits.
