Maybe we should stop at Carrows again like the first time.

Cool! I am sure Billybooster will be in the caravan too. We just got his engine back in the jeep today. I think he is itching to get his rig off road.

For everyone coming up the 101 Lets meet at Carrows. Maybe even do breakfast too, like last year

Yes I helped Rich put my engine back in ...for the second time! Well I did it the first.... all is good. now need a manifold to arrive and I'm gonna fire her up... again... you'll all hear if it didnt work! A public 'thank you' to Rich for his support today - even if I did have to do the hard work of laying on my back!

no problem I think we need to have a wrenching party some time. I was also a lead mechanic too. Even had my own shop for a while in Vegas. Now retired from the automotive biz. I love it still though. So now I just wrench my own stuff and help out friends like John (billybooster).

Me and the old CJ might try and make the trip up (3 hour drive from Concord)
But I need to wheel easy, it's old and crusty, and needs to make the drive back south on its own power.
It's never been out and about yet, and I am working the bugs out daily. Just got it a few months ago.
As of right now, no cb, no spare tire, Leakey rear axel seals, bad back brakes do to the leaky seals.
304 carb, bald front tires, good rears, lockers..
Second thought that might be a 3.5 hour drive for me.. Tops out around 60mph.
I think Jimbob is going to break into a couple of groups (easy to moderate), and then more extreme.
The first thing I would fix on your Jeep for off road is the brakes. Don't want to be going down hill behind someone and can't stop.

Hey Jimbob can you put me down on the list? I'm gonna try to get that Friday off work. Just need to know if there's any motels and what's the nearest city.

Good man! The nearest town is Lakeport, about 10 min. from where we will start. There are several Motels to choose from.

O yeah I forgot about camping gear. I normally sleep in the jeep (wj can sleep in back comportably) but have no camp stove. I guess if I camp it'll be wieners over the campfire
