Anyone have a smoke box that you can put on the carb or throttle body and pump smoke in to look for vacuum leaks??? I'm running lean now all the sudden and it runs ruff at idle and the check engine light comes on showing a lean condition, but running down the road it's like a striped *** ape. Not sure where the leak could be because I've had this thing completely apart and back together again over the last four months.
We have on and can use it but you are a few hrs away. Narrow it down by going to the parts store and getting a can of B12 Chemtool, then start spraying little bits around intake, vacuum hoses, manifolds, carb/throttle body, brake booster, and any area that can have a leak. You can also pinch off vacuum hoses one at the time to see if a solenoid or vsv is stuck open/close/leaking. All your noticing and hearing is an rpm change.
Rubicon summer job
DOT needs Rubicon help. Temporary summer job, probably around 3 months, $15/hr, you would be working on the Rubicon trail, Sunday evenings through Thursdays (staying on the trail and being fed), pretty much manual labor; if interested, call Nancy at DOT 530-642-4909; will be starting by end of June

Madhatters are out of Livermore. There is a small group of us in Tracy if you're looking for another jk rubi to park next to. There is no shame in jumping from club to club to maximize the amount of wheeling you do!!
