I Dont know if you know what it is but my dad was awarded the "Silver Beaver" Award for what he did during my time in Scouting. After I made Eagle he still did stuff at council and district levels.

The Silver Beaver Award is the council-level distinguished service award of the Boy Scouts of America. Recipients of this award are registered adult leaders who have made an impact on the lives of youth through service given to the council.[1]

The Silver Beaver is an award given to those who implement the Scouting program and perform community service through hard work, self sacrifice, dedication, and many years of service. It is given to those who do not actively seek it.

just got back from the strawberry pass maintenance run. we cut some brush , picked up a little garbage, and closed a bypass trail. people keep moving the logs they put in the way . so this time we winched in 2 logs and pulled a huge boulder on top of them. there were about 16 rigs on this trip. we split into 2 groups. this was a great group of guy's and the only bad thing is that there jeeps make mine feel like a 2 wheel drive postal jeep.
on a good note there was a graet pot luck lunch...
some of the jeeps have about $40 k invested in them!

i talked to some of the guy's about dear-valley trail and they said it was harder than i thought. and some places there are no bypasses. i would think hard about bringing a stock or nearly stock jeep thru there.
i didnt take many pic's but my nieighbor did , and if i get them i will post them
