I did it in November with a couple other Jeeps from here. It was a fun trail. I made it up in my barely modded GC so pretty much anyone can make it. The beginning is pretty hard though and then once you get to the top it gets easier. Going down the backside to Cisco Grove is a cinch. You can probably take a Honda down it if you're careful. The top has great views though and the little fire lookout is a nice little piece of history. I'm almost positive there is still snow up there and there probably will be until May or June. Here are some pics.

I would be down for Saturday but rite now were working on a nordstrom rack in sacramento, and im working friday night into saturday morning. Im all good for a day run at some point as long as my schedule allows

I'm close, but if you plan on staying the night...... Reno's just as close. There's some super good room deals going up there right now too (like under $60 a night with the second night free).

I've never camped in that area.

thank you for the quick response, although I have changed my plans and we are going to my gf's cabin in Placerville
It gets broken into so I dont know the condition of the cabin haha I'm taking a tent and other things in case we gotta set camp
