Goob, I don't think it'll be a big deal, make sure it's good and clean and you should be able to buff it out with a light rubbing compound (I'd use a liquid not a paste). Your buddy can probably do it for the cost of a case of beer.

Liquid might work, either that or a cleaner wax. The other thing that you could try that won't harm the paint is a clay bar. It removes contamination from paint.

http://www.autopia-carcare.com/inf-clay.html

Then you can proceed to clay the whole Jeep and then polish it by hand if you feel up to it, or just slap some wax on it. Because if you're going to do it, you might as well do the whole Jeep

Where were you biking at Connor ? salmon falls came to mind (I think bicycles are suppose to yield to horses, seeing the horse has a mind of its own and all)
just before salmon falls, more towards eldorado hills. im not really sure the name of the place but i ended up at the new york river and then road up salmon falls road to get to safeway where we parked

I got my stuff from Ruff Stuff Specialties today! I'm extremely happy with the quality of the parts and they did a great job packing everything. The perches are freakin' MASSIVE! The shock mounts look great, u-bolts fit perfectly, and the u-bolt plates are thick as hell too.

Holding off on doing the pinion angle... I've got to see what my bank account looks like this next week, I picked up a little extra work this weekend and next week, so hopefully I'll have enough to get some OE replacement rear leafs and go SOA while I'm at it

when i set my pinion angle i put weight in the back and tried to get the springs to settle in. sure enouigh it was off after there where welded and driven on a while. i ended up changing my shackle height in stead of shims.
