Moving to Scaramento in July. What are the good/bad areas.

Like the title says I'm moving back to Sacramento Cali in July. Wife used to live there back in the early 80's. Where gunna be working at the old McClellan AFB area. Let me know what areas are good and bad to live in.

Thanks

Not to put down anyone's neighborhood but, I wouldn't want to live in the area around McClellan (north highlands) or the south sac area around Florin Road.

Wife was looking at Natomas area. Around I5 and I80. And Kokomo park.

Both Roseville and antelope are nice. Natomas is hit and miss

Natomas north of 80 and as close to the East side or better yet on the West side of 5 towards West Sac is good. I'm right off of 5 near the "Arco Arena" area myself and it's been pretty good. If you start moving toward the East side of Truxel/Natomas blvd. you start getting the Del Paso Heights stuff creeping in a bit IMO especially some of those apartment complexes over there. Definitely don't go for southeast of the 80/5 corner. That's the old Natomas.

The Roseville, Rocklin, Loomis area is perfect. And close enough to McClellan.

Loomis is awesome, but probably expensive. I dont live in sac but i worked all over sac for 9 years. Natomas is nice , loomis is the best, parts of rocklin, woodland is nice. But auburn, cool, georgetown, forest hill are a little out of the city but imo worth the commute to live somewhere with trees and less people.
