Well I did notice I get better mileage when the trailer is behind it before. Gene says his Jeep does too with his tear drop. But this is the first time I ran the numbers with trailer also. We think the reason is we are removing all the gear weight from the Jeep and running the trailers loaded.

Ahhh yes. I just read that they changed the name from highlakes to trail-of-carnage. Seems fitting to me. I think im going to re-thread the shock for now and pick up some limiting straps for $50.

Bring the shock by the shop and I'll chase the threads with a die.

Sorry to hear your trip got cut short. How far in did you make it? I assume you came from magalia, so did you get to spring valley? Where were the pictures taken? I will be going up with a group this weekend but were gonna try and enter from either rock creek or ******* creek/32 switchbacks off hwy 70.

We made it pass spring valley but not to long lake. If you guys make the way you are trying to let us know. That was the way we were going to go out.

We shall call it "The table top rock of destruction!" Made it a few hundred yards past here before being blocked by the Chevy.

Thanks guys. I will let you know how our trip goes, were all within a couple hours of the trail so were gonna leave tommorow afternoon and camp all weekend and hopefully get to check out most of the trails. Were you headed down 614 or 613 to hit the table top?

I just got back from our high lakes trip, it was cut shorter than we woulda liked by a broke steering box, but we all had fun. Half our group went up through 32 switchbacks right past tobin on hwy 70. The other half through rock creek. 32 switchbacks was crazy at the top. The tj on 35s and lockers that was with us did it fine though. My full width axles were a curse most of the trail.. I will have pictures posted on my build soon.

Went and camped at saddle lake. This was the trail going into the campsites.
